Thank you for your reply.. It's very interesting to get to know something more about English food. Pancakes for breakfast sounds reeeally good :) I have to admit that I've never really tried Indian food so far. But that would be an interesting experience as well, I guess! I love any dish with rice so probably, Indian food would be nice to taste :)
In Germany, the food culture varies a lot from state to state.
For breakfast, coffee, tea, cocoa or juice are common. Many people eat bread with butter, chesse, jam, nutella or honey, others prefer milk with cereals etc. "Brezel" (kind of a savoury biscuit) is very popular, too. I usually prefer "sweet things" for breakfast, but I also know people who eat sausage in the morning.
In terms of other dishes, I can tell you that in the north (Hamburg and so on) they eat a lot of fish, while a typical Bavarian dish would be roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings. In Swabia, people love Maultaschen, Spätzle (a special kind of noodles), Zwiebelrostbraten (beef with gravy and onions on it) and things like that. Have you ever tried it?
And the Germans love beer! Actually, I don't like it at all but I guess the majority of the population (especially the male part ;P) would disagree with me^^
So tell me more about the English (and Indian) lifestyle, I'm always interested in learning about things that are new to me :)

yeah you're right, Cannstatter Wasen really is kind of an old festival but it's legendary and nearly everybody wants to go there (that's why the tents are always overcrowded^^). The main attractions are those typical "beer tents" where everybody drinks and eats and dances on the benches and tables :D and of course, there are rollercoasters and all kinds of fairground rides.

Yeah Hohenheim is one of Stuttgart's universities where you can study agriculture, natural and economic sciences and so on..

Ok when it comes to German food, I guess I can help you. I don't cook that often (my mum and my boyfriend do it much better than I do^^) but what you mean are "Frikadellen". There are a lot of different (and quite funny) names for that dish like "Bulette" in Berlin, "Fleischpflanzerl" in Bavaria or "Fleischküchle" in Swabia (the state I live in). They're usually made of minced porc and beef and you can eat them as a burger or with potato salad, noodles ("Spätzle") etc.
My favourite food.. hm.. hard to tell.. chocolate maybe :D no actually there are a lot of things I love so I'd be difficult to figure out one dish only^^
What about you? Don't get me wrong but everyone always says how "bad" English food is and I really wanna know if that's true or more like a predudice!? Do you REALLY eat fish and chips with VINEGAR? That's a thing I couldn't imagine at all^^
