Oh... there are some places I want to recommend but you are studying economics and not history or archeology. It could ne boring to visit some palaces but anyway I'd like to recommend you. there are two main palaces in Seoul. Gyeongbokgung(Palace) and Changdeokgung(Palace). There is a stream well known among tourists. Namsan Tower is also a good place to visit. All the places I recommend are in Seoul.

I can't compare Japan to other countries,but there are 3 big banks and so many local banks.however few firms have the skills of current financial technology.That's why many of them didn't suffer from Lehman shock. And slowly the number of financial institutions is becoming small because of mergers.
